Adriana Contreras has represented U.S. investors in the acquisition of companies and assets in Mexico and other Latin American countries and the Caribbean, and represents their interests in cross-border project finance transactions and joint ventures. Mrs Contreras’ practice focuses on Mexican and international corporate and commercial law, particularly foreign investment, telecommunications, intellectual property, real estate transactions, labor, and regulatory issues. Mrs Contreras has advised clients in multiple engagements in more than a dozen of Latin American countries, with special emphasis on Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Spain and the Caribbean. She is an active member of the Mexican Bar Association and has written material on legal magazines and newspapers in Mexico, including gas, oil and telecommunication matters.
